Dirty dishes in the sink

I hadn’t seen the sun in days 

I painted my apartment pink 

To try and rewire my brain 

It was going down the drain 

I tried climbing up 

But I fell back right back down 

Like I was forever stuck 

And there was no way around 

Knuckles were bloody 

From holding me steady

It was all I could do 

When the only way out was through 

At every point I started to sink 

I brought my head up through the ground
